A teenaged girl with dragon-like features wearing a heavy cloth cloak, and a set of bandages wrapped around her face and arms. A rash is visible on her face beneath the bandages, while her arm has signs of ingrown scales falling out beneath the arm wrapping.

Inferna is a member of the Embermaw dragons, large desert-dwelling folks who act as peace keepers on Kendesai by traveling to aid those the gods deem in need of protection. In particular, she was the next in line for her people's leadership, succeeding her father should he fall or be unable to lead. Born with a condition that made her scales ingrown, she lacks the fire resistance most of her people had, and outright requires protection from the arid heat the Embermaws lived in, something she was thankfully able to find due to her father's connections. After she was of age, she gained the Primarch ability to take on a smaller, humanoid form. To her astonishment, it actually hurt less than her true form. And so, she spent a lot of time in it, albeit feeling dissatisfied, in order to at least be able to move around more freely.

The chronic pain resulting from her condition, however, pales in comparison to the looks and judgement she receives from her peers. They're convinced the only reason her father valued her was because the clutch of eggs her mother had laid had mostly resulted in eggs that didn't hatch, or were born with an even worse version of Inferna's condition resulting in them dying not long after. In their eyes, she was a successor only by default, not by her merits or her potential, and due to her condition wouldn't be in any condition to lead them anyway if she couldn't stand at her full glory.

She knew exactly what they were saying, even if they didn't realize she knew. Her smaller stature allowed her to move about their camp with surprising ease. And its for this reason that she had all but given up considering herself a member of the Embermaws were it not for the chance meeting she had with a trio of young Kendans being attacked by a Sharkazan death priest. Seeing them in danger, she rescued them and brought them back to the current Embermaw encampment for treatment. But she couldn't care less what the others thought in that moment. It was what the small red-headed Kendan said to her that stuck out in her mind.

"Fighting on even in your condition? You're the strongest dragon we've ever met."
